5.0 out of 5 stars This stuff works! This stuff works as long as your expectations are set correctly. Most of the people leaving negative reviews seem to think this is going to repair scratches. Unless the product you are buying includes some method of sanding it isn’t going to repair scratches.
Does scratch X damage paint?
10 applications isn’t really enough to damage the clear coat, especially if you’re using a foam applicator. Two suggestions I would make would be to put the Scratch X on the pad and not directly onto the paint, and also to get a dedicated Microfibre or Cotton Terry Towel for wiping off so you don’t add any new marks.
Does Meguiars Scratch X 2.0 work on glass?
Fine scratches in glass aren’t going to go away with ScratchX 2.0 or Ultimate Compound (at least we’d be pretty shocked if they did and were in fact actual scratches in the glass) – they just aren’t designed to do this. Unfortunately, we don’t make anything specifically for polishing glass.

What’s the best way to apply ScratchX to a car?
After washing and drying your car, get two clean terrycloth rags. Use the first rag to apply and work in generous amounts of ScratchX on all the scratches on your car. You will find you need less and less product as the rag become saturated. Now use the second rag to wipe up and polish all the areas where you applied.
