What is a FilterLine?

What is a FilterLine?

The FilterLine Set circuit is a one-piece design, ideal for quick application in emergency intubations. By combining a FilterLine EtCO2 circuit with a Microstream Airway Adapter, the FilterLine Set eliminates time-consuming assembly and monitor setup.

What is a CapnoLine?

The CapnoLine collects both oral and nasal breath samples. It also features a plus-size oral sampling prong for adults for more effective sampling during shallow breathing.

What is microstream EtCO2?

Capnography is a noninvasive method for monitoring the level of carbon dioxide in exhaled breath (EtCO2) to assess a patient’s ventilatory status. Capnographs produce both waveforms and numeric values of the patient’s exhaled breath and are used to identify adverse ventilation events.

What is imCO2?

imCO2 means (inspired minimum CO2). The end of inspiration on the capnography waveform is referred to as phase 1 and represents dead space gases. If you notice that the waveform baseline is elevated it can mean a couple of things. The two most common are rebreathing CO2, and contamination of the capnometer.

What is a CapnoLine cannula?

The Smart CapnoLine Plus™ oral and nasal cannula offers precise and accurate sampling with improved performance for CO2 monitoring, even on non-intubated patients with low tidal volumes. Oral/Nasal. Key applications: Procedural sedation, Critical Care, EMS, ED. Typical duration of use up to 8 hours.

When to use a filterline ETCO 2 sampling line?

The patented family of FilterLine® etCO 2 sampling lines is designed for use with Microstream™-enabled capnography monitors and can be used on both intubated and non-intubated patients. FilterLine® non-intubated sampling lines feature oral and nasal sampling as well as an innovative supplemental oxygen delivery system.

Can a ETCO 2 be used on a capnography monitor?

The patented family of FilterLine ® etCO 2 sampling lines is designed for use with Microstream™-enabled capnography monitors and can be used on both intubated and non-intubated patients. FilterLine ® non-intubated sampling lines feature oral and nasal sampling as well as an innovative supplemental oxygen delivery system.

What’s the dead space on a ETCO 2 sampling line?

The adapter dead space is < 0.5 cc and the weight is 3.8 g. Use of a FilterLine® etCO 2 sampling line with H in its name (indicating that it is for use in humidified environments) during MRI scanning may cause interference. The use of non-H sampling lines is advised.

How does the ETCO 2 system at Medtronic work?

The open mask system OxyMask™* EtCO 2 with Microstream™ connector is engineered to deliver a wide range of O 2 levels and help keep patients safe. Simply increase or decrease oxygen meter flow from 1 liter per minute (Ipm) up to flush (>15 Ipm) to deliver 24-65 percent FiO 2 to help maintain the desired SpO 2 measurement.
