It is this and the other Lakes, the Golf Course and the fourteen mile Rock Creek Trail, which I have not traversed completely, but intend to do one of these days. Of course, there are other attractions along the trail once it enters Washington DC.
What to do at Lake Needwood in DC?
Lake Needwood is a great place for many different activities – they have TONS of parking, both a Lake Needwood loop, the start of Rock Creek Trail which goes all the way into DC (it’s 13 miles I believe), and nearby access to Lake Frank. You can fish, rent a paddle boat, bike, hike, walk, jog, whatever! I frequent this trail and highly recommend.
