HWRCs are open for essential visits only. The household waste recycling centres are open for essential visits only. This means only bringing waste that you can’t safely store at home. Trailers (no larger than 6ft x 4ft) on a domestic car can come in with a residential permit.

What can you take to Cardiff tip?
From June 22, Cardiff residents will be able to take items that were banned when the recycling centres first reopened to the Lamby Way and Bessemer Close recycling centres. This includes white goods, batteries, clothes, tyres and paint and non-recyclable items such as polystyrene, shrinkwrap, mirrors and blinds.

Wakefield Household Waste Recycling Centres in Castleford, Ferrybridge, Fitzwilliam, Ossett and South Kirkby, are now open from 8am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, and on bank holidays. They are also open from 8am until 4pm on Saturdays and 9am to 4pm on Sundays.
Is Aberfan recycling Centre open?
Aberfan and Dowlais are open every day for the following hours: 9:00 – 20:00 the last admittance to the site is 19:50. Proof of address is needed to access the HWRCS.
