Transparent powder coat finishes, often referred to as “candies” are translucent finishes that offer unparalleled color depth. Typically, Transparent powders are applied over a bright silver substrate (polished, chrome plating etc.) for reflectivity which is necessary for color depth.

  1. Always place the part into a preheated oven (375F).
  2. Bake until the powder flows into a smooth glossy finish.
  3. Check part metal temperature with Infrared Gun (Cure times are based off of part metal temp).
  4. When the part reaches 375F, start an 18 minute timer for a full cure.

Do I need to prime before powder coating?
