What is Swsetup?
The SWSetup folder contains the installation files for all your drivers and updates. You do not need this folder, but you should definitely back it up. I used a blank dvd and I also used my external harddrive for another back up. This folder is important incase something goes wrong with your computer.
Where is Swsetup?
The location of the SWSetup folder is C:\swsetup folder. If you find it is in another location, you should check if it is a virus. There is also another method for checking the SWSetup folder.
Can I move Swsetup folder?
The swsetup is separate from the recovery partition. The drivers and preinstalled programs are located in both places. If you run the system recovery from the recovery partition it will recreate the swsetup folder. Just cut it and paste it wherever you want to store it.
