Integrated Family Services (IFS) provides in-home support and parenting skill development to assist families experiencing multiple difficulties. IFS works with families with children 0-18 years old who are at risk of welfare concerns escalating and Child Protection becoming involved, if problems are not addressed.

A mobile crisis team is a group of health professionals, such as nurses, social workers and psychiatrists, who can provide mental health services, primarily in people’s homes. There are about two dozen teams in the city, and they are available in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens.

Intensive in-home services are provided to a child whose mental health, behavioral issues, or functioning has severely impacted the family environment to a degree that typical family interactions are affected, and they are at risk of being removed from the home.

Cindy Thomas is an associate level Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an associate level Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. She is also certified as a Clinical Military Counselor. Cindy received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Campbell University, and her Masters Degree in Social Work from East Carolina University.
