I don’t know about the WD PHOTO app but if you download VLC to your iPhone and use it, you can use its FTP function to connect to your MyCloud and snag whatever videos you want for viewing later, also using VLC. Using the VLC iPhone app, go to the “Local Network” setting (assuming you’re at home and connected via wifi to your network).
Is there an app for the WD pad?
There is/are other WD Community comments regarding this issue which indicate that the ability to ‘open with’ (app) doesn’t exist on Tablets (or is is android devices?) and this would solve this issue. I intend to go back to Acer, who indicated an alternative support source to help resolve this issue for me.
