The world’s tallest statue of Confucius was unveiled on Monday 24th September, 2018 at the ancient philosopher’s birthplace of Nishan, in the city of Qufu, China’s Shandong Province. Construction beginning back in 2013, the statue is made of brass and reinforced steel with a base spanning 7,800 square metres.
