take a public bus from Puerto Iguazu to the town of Foz do Iguazu and then jump on bus 120 from the bus terminal to get to the Brazilian side. This will take at least 1.5 hours. Be sure to have your passport with you for the crossing!
Is Foz do Iguacu safe?
Foz is fairly safe. I do caution you to stay clear of the Paraguay Bridge area at night. Any border river banks not within the National Parks. Downtown and hotel areas are safe.

You can get to Argentinian falls from Foz by bus or taxi. The bus from Foz do Iguacu to Puerto Iguazu is for sure cheaper option and so we chose it. Buses operate from the Terminal station, the stop can be found at the right side (from the way you arrived) behind the fence.
