Where are the reluctor rings on an insignia?
I don’t think the insignia has reluctor rings. They use a magnetic ring at the back of the wheel bearings as a pick up. Sounds like that could be your problem. If it was electrical (i.e. the sensor) you would expect the light to be on all the time. Best to get the codes read to determine what corner it is.
Why are the ESP lights on on my insignia?
I read something about the steering angle sensor giving ESP warning if the steering wheel’s not straight, and sure enough I have code – DTC C0710 5A: (Steering Position Signal Not Plausible). I did try to reset the column to rack joint clamp but It’s not really a one person job.
