Start by saying “we” not “I” and remain in character throughout the entire role play. 2-Performance Indicators – start going through your performance indicators.

Do you have to be a DECA member to participate in principle events?
Principle Events are for first year members only. If you are a first year member, I highly recommend competing in these events, for two reasons. First, competing in Principle Event will allow you to get a grasp on DECA role plays and you will allow you to compete with others within your initial DECA skill level.

Preparation. I cannot stress the correlation between preparation and doing well on knowledge exams and in role plays. Two great ways to prepare for competition before you get to a DECA conference is to study performance indicators, 21st century skills and official DECA prep material and practice sample exams and role plays.
