How do I activate FollowMyHealth?
Step 1: Go to https://www.followmyhealth.com (link will open in a new tab or window). Step 2: Click the “I need to sign up” button (circled in red in the image below). Step 3: Fill in the appropriate information seen in the next image below. Then select “Confirm and Continue” at the bottom of the page.
Is FollowMyHealth a free app?
The app is free of charge and is small, so it won’t take up much space on your device. Once you have downloaded the app, you will then have access to your health records in a more functional and helpful manner.

FollowMyHealth® is provided by Allscripts LLC. Allscripts is responsible for the portal’s operation and security, and Allscripts’ terms-of-use govern the use of the portal.
How do I get rid of FollowMyHealth?
Yes. To delete your account, click “My Account” in the upper right-hand corner of your FollowMyHealth homepage. Then, click on “Preferences.” Then, click “Delete your UHR” under “Account Preferences.” The system will prompt you to confirm once more.
Do insurance companies have access to my health record?
False. Only registered clinicians providing you with health care can access your record. Doctors being paid by employers and life insurance companies are not allowed to access your My Health Record for this purpose.
Is FollowMyHealth the same as MyChart?
Reviewers felt that MyChart meets the needs of their business better than FollowMyHealth. When comparing quality of ongoing product support, reviewers felt that MyChart is the preferred option. For feature updates and roadmaps, our reviewers preferred the direction of MyChart over FollowMyHealth.

All health data is stored on a secure server. Only you will be able to see or gain access to the information in your portal.
Why is my FollowMyHealth app not working?
If you notice the app is not working properly, you may need to restart your device. Just like a program on a computer, if it seems like it doesn’t want to respond, it may be time for a restart to see if that corrects the issue.
Can a psychiatrist see your medical history?
Most psychiatrists would try to obtain treatment records from any therapist, psychiatrist, or primary care physician seen by the patient within the past year. Psychiatrists rely heavily on clinical judgment when determining whether to obtain medical records from other providers.
Can you ask a doctor to keep something off the record?
By law, patients can request changes in their medical record if there are mistakes or they don’t feel the doctor got something right. Ideally, the doctor would add something to that effect. He can’t change a note once it’s there, though.
