You’ll meet friends, get involved and be just steps away from campus resources. Most incoming first-year students live on State Quad, Indigenous Quad and Dutch Quad. These buildings are a great place to start your UAlbany experience. All freshmen and sophomores are required to live on campus.
Can you choose your roommate at UAlbany?
Since single-gender housing may not be appropriate or comfortable for all students, a limited number of gender-inclusive rooms are available in our residence halls and apartments. Students who sign up for Gender-Inclusive Housing can select roommates and suitemates from across the gender spectrum.
