A tropical rainforest biome is found in hot, humid environments in equatorial climates. They contain the most diverse range and highest volume of plant and animal life found anywhere on earth. In general, tropical rainforests have hot and humid climates where it rains virtually everyday.
Why are rainforests important BBC?
Tropical rainforests act as life support systems for the planet as they: Influence the hydrological cycle – rainforests help to provide water for people. Trees act as a water store by intercepting rainfall. They release water into the atmosphere by evapotranspiration (evaporation and transpiration).
