The Morimoto quality is far superior to other HID kits such as Kenson or DDM. However, they will fail and replacement in the 3 year or 5 year warranty is difficult or at least I have found it to be so. I found it is much cleaner to rebuy the whole kit and replace everything.

Are Morimoto headlights worth it?

I would say the Morimoto’s are worth the price over the OEM LED’s. I originally had the halogen then upgraded to Morimoto LED bulbs. It helped but the light spread was not ideal. Then I upgraded to the OEM LED’s and that was much better than the halogen housing with LED bulbs but wasn’t as bright as I had hoped for.

Are there 55W HID bulbs?

HID bulbs are designed for 35W, just like all factory-installed OEM HIDs. Running them at 55W of power is just “overdriving” them. There are no HID bulbs specifically designed for 55 watts of power.

Is H11B same as H7?

Even though these bulbs are in the same category, they’re not interchangeable. Whilst an H1 and a H7 bulb may look the same in terms of light output, an H7 bulb won’t fit into a socket for an H1 bulb. This means that you must stick to the bulb fitting that your vehicle uses.
