The 2006 Fusion 900 is a great sled with great throttle response and not many of the new sleds will pass you. I have SLP torque arm and push arm and I run my factory torque stop a little wider than stock spec. This seems to lessen vibration and I have no more belt problems than any of the other brands I ride with.

Polaris had issues with the cranks on these sleds breaking from the factory, so they changed the torque speck from the original spec to something north of 100 ft-lbs. 100 ft-lbs caused the hubs to mushroom from over torquing and ruined the clutch.

What many of us did to overcome this problem is to put the 420719 team helix in the secondary and or gear it down. The helix came highly recommended my indydan on snowest who runs Indy specialists. This helix makes the sled a little more snappy and gives it a couple mph on top too.

The wires are a known problem on the Fuse’s because of the vibrations. The copper wire tends to break inside the insulation. Start there and get back with us. Also the clutch problem is more than likely either a broken clutch spring as stated earlier, or the other option is that the center clutch hub has mushroomed from over torquing.
