They were obviously mishandled because every pencil lead is broken into pieces so every time you sharpen the pencil the lead falls out! I paid 26 bucks for this last bunch that is basically useless to me. who does one blame????

Glad to find these on Amazon. twice I placed an order for # 4 ex hard pencils .. and twice receive #1 ex soft pencils….. returned both of them and ordered from Walmart. this order was to tough for Amazon to handle…. Great quality pencils, they’re much harder (but more brittle) lead than is in your typical #2 pencil.
