Phantasy Star Online 2 is a pretty old game, there have been handheld versions of online PSO games in the past, a cloud version of the game does already exist in Japan and Sega has a close relationship with Nintendo; so it would be odd if the Switch wasn’t in the cards at all for North America where the hybrid console is incredibly popular.

I think in 2021. TGS had a trailer for its updates, it is smart and strategic for Sega to release PSO2 on X1 in english first, then PS4 could get it a year later and have even more updates available day 1 and stuff!

Meaning eventually PSO2 will release on the Nintendo Switch. There will be a period of exclusivity, we don’t know how long that will be, and we don’t know if the eventual Switch version of Phantasy Star Online 2 will also be a cloud game.

There’s no way in hell they’re porting psobb. It makes no sense to release this in english in 2020 much less 2021. The games gonna prolly be at least 8 years old by the time it hits over here. Just how long do the plan on rolling with it?
