Due to its size, you should aim to allocate at least two to three hours to explore the entirety of the aquarium.
Is the Houston Aquarium worth it?
Not worth it. Its half outside water park with rides and half inside narrow one way walk thru that is dark and crowded. The outside are more for little kids. Inside aquarium exhibits are unexciting.
Can you conceal carry at the Houston Aquarium?
As such, Texans can now carry concealed weapons without a permit, so long as the establishment they are entering does not explicitly prohibit the concealed or open carrying of guns. Downtown Aquarium has since reopened after the shooting.

Can you bring food into the Houston Aquarium?
Outside food and beverages are not permitted in Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve but may be consumed in the outside parking lot. Alcoholic beverages and glass containers are not permitted anywhere on Houston Interactive property.
Does the Houston Aquarium have free parking?
Self-parking and valet are both options at the Houston Aquarium. Self-parking is $8; valet is $10.
