Provisional Accreditation
- You must be a BABCP member.
- You must first have a mental health Core Profession or demonstrate the equivalent through completing a KSA portfolio.
- You must be in current CBT practice when you apply.
- You will need to provide evidence that you meet the Minimum Training Standards (MTS)

Accreditation means that a CBT therapist has both core professional mental health training or recognised equivalent, as well as specific CBT training. To be accredited, our members must have applied and demonstrated that they meet high standards of training and experience in CBT.

You may undertake either a Level 1 or a Level 2 course. You don’t need to do both. All level 1 accredited courses will meet the BABCP’s quality of training criteria ie. the quality of the training delivered and CBT qualifications of the trainers.

If you don’t submit your Full Accreditation application or discuss any delay with us by your due date, your Provisional Accreditation may lapse.
