If you enabled the “always show” option while out of combat, it won’t automatically turn them on. Enabling that option just prevents any future automatic turning on/off of the “show” option, so after you enable it, you need to press Ctrl+V (or whatever you have bound to it) again to turn the nameplates on.
Is the last patch of tidy plates working?
Hey, so last patch Tidy Plates was working. (kind of) It had it’s issues, but overall was a great addon. It seems that it’s not being updated anymore, and is currently not working for 8.1.5. Does anyone know where I can either find an updated version, or a new addon that will do everything Tidy Plates does?

Since 8.6.0, units have double nameplates, one looking like Threat Plates and the others looking like some other theme of Tidy Plates, e.g., Neon. Since Version 8.6.0, TPTP is a standalone addon that no longer requires TidyPlates. Please enable only one of these two nameplate addons, otherwise two overlapping nameplates will be shown for units.

How to reset tidy plates to default settings?
If you ever need to reset Tidy Plates to its default settings, once you have opened up the configuration panel by typing /tidyplates, look for a button labelled “Defaults” on the bottom left. After clicking on Defaults, a prompt to reset settings will appear with three buttons, namely “All Settings,” “Cancel,” and “These Settings.” Thanks!
