The archenemy takes the first turn of the game and doesn’t skip his or her draw step on the first turn in a multiplayer game. The archenemy declares whether he or she will take a mulligan first. Then the players on the other team do the same. Teammates may consult while making their decisions.

The archenemy may play an additional land during each of their turns. The players who are on the team share one life total and play as if it were a two-headed-giant game. The commander damage rule applies as normal and is counted per commander; one individual commander must deal 21 damage to kill a player.
