How safe is ferinject?

Ferinject® is safe unless you have a known sensitivity or allergy to iron supplements, a liver problem or you are in the first trimester of pregnancy. There is some risk of allergic reaction, ranging from mild to severe, but this is rare (less than 1 in 100 (1%) of patients).

How much does ferinject 500mg cost?

Is ferinject painful?

This can cause pain, inflammation and potentially long-lasting brown discolouration on your arm. If leakage occurs, the infusion will be stopped. Please tell a nurse or doctor if you experience any pain or swelling at the infusion site during the infusion. Very rarely, Ferinject can cause an allergic reaction.

What’s the maximum dose of Ferinject you can take?

Intravenous injection FERINJECT may be administered by intravenous injection using undiluted solution up to a maximum single dose of 1,000 mg iron (up to a maximum of 20 mg iron/kg body weight). When to recalculate the Hb level after Ferinject?
