Is Ashford Formula A concrete sealer?
Is Ashford Formula A concrete sealer?
Ashford Formula is a chemically reactive liquid that penetrates the concrete, solidifying the concrete surface components into a solid mass.It produces a permanently denser, harder, penetration and abrasion-resistant concrete surface. Ashford Formula is inorganic, nontoxic, VOC free, colorless and odorless.
What is Ashford formula made of?
Ashford Formula combines with calcium hydroxide, becoming an integral part of the concrete, thus completely dustproofing the surface. This reduces maintenance costs and protects inventory and equipment from concrete dust. Over time, Ashford Formula treated floors develop a wax-like sheen.
What is a spiff coat?
A thin Spiff coat is often added at end of project to ensure all reaction sites within the concrete are utilized. Concrete polishing is performed by grinding the concrete floor surface to the desired shine and smoothness, creating floors that are easy to clean, durable and functional.
What does concrete Densifier do?
A concrete densifier is a liquid chemical spread evenly across the floor that penetrates the top surface layer of concrete. Its purpose is to fill the porous holes formed from water evaporation during the curing process, similar to how water fills the pores of a sponge.
What is Ashford for concrete?
Ashford Formula is a chemically reactive liquid that penetrates the concrete, solidifying the concrete surface components into a solid mass. It produces a permanently denser, harder, penetration and abrasion- resistant concrete surface. Ashford Formula is inorganic, non- toxic, VOC free, colorless and odorless.
Is concrete Densifier a sealer?
Concrete densifiers are silicate sealers of a sodium, potassium or lithium carrier designed to densify, harden, dustproof and increase the abrasion resistance of concrete.
How long does concrete Densifier last?
Most densifiers can react within 1-2 hours with concrete surface, however the chemical reaction with the calcium and free lime in the concrete will continue for up to 2 months after the application of it to the surface of the concrete.
Can I use a garden sprayer to apply concrete sealer?
Yes, you can use a standard pump garden sprayer to apply your sealant. Since solvent-based sealers have more active chemicals and corrosive agents, they are not recommended for garden sprayers. But if you’re using a water-based sealer, you can use the same sprayer you use for fertilizer and insecticide.
