What is there to do at Howl-O-Scream?
Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s Howl-O-Scream has featured psycho circus and post-apocalyptic dystopian haunted mazes as well as scare zone Terror-tories with names like Ripper Row and Axe Alley. The Virginia park has also offered up a few Howl-O-Scream escape rooms in recent years.

Howl-O-Scream is an annual special event that occurs at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, SeaWorld San Antonio, and as of recently will begin at Seaworld Orlando. The parks remain operational during the day and transition to Howl-O-Scream at night.
When does Howl O Scream start at Busch Gardens Williamsburg?
Busch Gardens Williamsburg will be open select dates from September 14 – November 3. Howl-O-Scream starts each evening at 5:45 pm. Be aware that when Howl-O-Scream starts, the park becomes a seriously scary place and may not be suitable for young children.
When did the Howl O Scream Park open?
One year prior to Howl-O-Scream’s debut in the year 2000, the park featured a PG-13 Halloween attraction called Spooky Safari. It had such attractions as an outdoor sprawling haunted experience called “Haunted Jungle Trail”, a pyrotechnic/magic show, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, and face-painting for the children.
