    The St Andrews area, in Scotland is a wonderful place. About 1h North of Edinburgh by train (EDI is a major international Airport), the medieval town has excellent services, and wonderful sights. I do not live in St Andrews, but in a small village 10 miles South. People are very friendly, and the views are spectacular.
