Wie funktioniert der Isofix?
Isofix bezeichnet eine standardisierte Technik zum Einbau von Kindersitzen in Autos. Die Isofixzangen und die am Fahrzeug befestigten Bügel bilden eine starre Verbindung zwischen Kindersitz und Karosserie. Bei einer Notbremsung oder Kollision erfolgt die Verzögerung des Kindersitzes sofort.
Sind alle Isofix Stationen gleich?
Passt jeder Isofix-Sitz in jedes Auto? Nein. Haken und Ösen sind zwar genormt, universell einsetzbar sind aber nur Isofixsitze mit einem zusätzlichen Haltegurt oben, dem so genannten Top Tether. Etliche Isofix-Sitze bieten statt des Top-Tether-Bands einen Stützfuß zur zusätzlichen Stabilisierung an.
