Inspiration for the band’s name came early-on, originating from a typical high-school event, when Derek DiScanio was still a student. It was based around the girls’ basketball team who won a state championship the year that we started the band and we were looking for a name.

On April 19, it was announced that the band signed to Pure Noise. In mid-June, the group recorded their next EP with Jay Maas at Getaway Recording Studio. “Critical” was made available for streaming on July 12.
