Right-click the server on which you wish to install Software Update Point role and click Add Site System Roles. On the General page, click Next.

If you have multiple software update points at a site, and one fails or becomes unavailable, clients will connect to a different software update point. With this new server, clients continue to scan for the latest software updates.
