Our HRA combines an Aetna health insurance or benefits plan with a fund paid for by your employer. This fund helps you pay eligible out-of-pocket health care costs.

Is the Aetna Healthfund closed to new enrollees?

Please note: For 2021, the Aetna HealthFund will be closed to new enrollees, and Vanguard will not provide a contribution to the Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) for this plan. Crew who remain enrolled in the Aetna HealthFund will have access to their existing HRA balance, and any amount not used by the end of the 2021 year will be forfeit.

How are nonpreventive expenses covered with Aetna Healthfund?

If someone has $1,250 in expenses for nonpreventive services, he or she has met the individual deductible and any future nonpreventive expenses would be covered by the plan’s coinsurance (at 90% or 70%) until you reach the out-of-pocket maximum. You’re enrolled in the Aetna HealthFund and you will be covering your spouse and two children.
