The AVMA last increased member dues in 2015, and the Board of Directors is proposing the next dues increase for 2020. The House of Delegates will consider a resolution in January to increase dues for AVMA members in 2020 and possibly 2021 and 2022. Currently, dues are $330 annually for regular members.

Why was the AVMA Trust Association health plan discontinued?
AVMA Trust’s health plan is discontinued due to changes in federal legislation and AVMA members are forced to purchase health insurance on their own. A presidential executive order and new rulings at the U.S. Department of Labor alter the legislation, allowing for the possibility of an “association health plan” (AHP) for AVMA members.
