DESCRIPTION: METAHYDRIN is a new orally administered thiazide diuretic for con- trol and treatment of edema and hypertension. More potent by oral administration than its predecessors, it differs from them by inclusion of a dichloromethyl radical at the 3 position on the benzothiadiazine structure.
