Ferrite (N87) core materials are an oxide made from Fe (iron), Mn (manganese), and Zn (zinc), which are commonly referred to as manganese zinc ferrites. They exhibit good magnetic properties (high permeability and saturation induction) below the Curie temperature and have a rather high electrical resistivity.
