What kind of insurance is MagnaCare?
MagnaCare is a third-party administrator (TPA) for self-insured clients, helping them manage their health plans. We are not an insurance company. We intake bills on behalf of the employer, review them for accuracy, and confirm the amount to be paid. For some clients, we also arrange payments.

Does insurance pay for out of network?
Not all plans will cover you if you go out of network. And, when you do go out of network, your share of costs will be higher. If you use an in-network doctor or other health care provider, this plan will pay some or all of the costs of covered services. Be aware your network provider might use an out-of-network provider for some services.
What is the timely filing limit for MagnaCare?
If a proper submission is made, MagnaCare will reach a decision on a post-service claim in 60 days, and 15 days for a pre-service claim. There are situations when additional documents are required to reach a decision. If requests for these documents are not satisfied, the reconsideration will be denied.
