Is the Uni blackboard system using ultra base navigation?

Beginning with the Spring 2019 semester, UNI’s Blackboard Learn system was upgraded to use Ultra Base Navigation. Ultra Base Navigation did not affect your courses. It only affected the portal and base navigation menu. Learn more on our Blackboard Learn Ultra Base Navigation page

It is available via the “Accessibility Training” tab after logging into Blackboard, under the heading “Blackboard Accessibility Course” The Blackboard course on intro to accessibility is available to learn how to get started building online courses that are usable and accessible.

Where do I find my assignments on Blackboard?

You can access assignments in the activity stream or in the calendar if your instructor added due dates. If the due date has passed for an assignment, you’re alerted in the Important section of the activity stream. More on late work You can also find your assignments on the Course Content page.

How does blackboard work when there is a time limit?

If your instructor put a time limit on the assignment, you can keep track of how much time is left. A countdown appears at the bottom of your screen and warns you as the time limit gets closer. The timer keeps counting down when you save a draft or leave an attempt in progress.

Faculty can also create grade columns for any activities or requirements that require grading but do not require submission through Blackboard. The Grade Center is the easiest way for faculty to view student submissions for assignments created in Blackboard. The Grade Center is accessed from the Control Panel in any Blackboard course.
