Getting There: The Glen Aulin trail departs from Tuolumne Meadows, which is along Tioga Road near Yosemite’s eastern entrance. If you’re approaching from the the east, you’ll find Tuolumne Meadows just under 8 miles (13 km) west of the Tioga entrance.

We hiked in to Glen Aulin via the Murphy creek trail which starts at Tenaya Lake, as we could not get permitted for Tuolumne Meadows, and then back out this trail. The Murphy creek trail was still snowbound for the most part, but we found our way thru the woods.
