Without a doubt it’s the normal Thomson PSU capacitor problem. An easy fix and you are better off sorting it out yourself. If you contact sky, then you might have to pay for a callout (unless you threaten to cancel) and will most likely get another “refurbished” box that’s not much better than the one you have.
