Muadh ibn Jabal (Arabic: مُعاذ بن جبل‎; 603 – 639) was a sahabi (companion) of the Islamic prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Muadh was an Ansar of Banu Khazraj and compiled the Quran with five companions while Muhammad (peace be upon him) was still alive. He was known as the one with a lot of knowledge.
