FCCLA’s Competitive Events continue to improve, innovate, and grow thanks to the many suggestions from advisers, members, and state associations. Members of the Competitive Events Advisory Team (CEAT) provide guidance to the Competitive Events program. The application deadline to nominate CEAT team members has closed for this year.
How much does it cost to be a member of the FCCLA?
If you any additional questions, please contact your state adviser or email [email protected]. Dues for each FCCLA student member are $9.00. There is a minimum of 12 members or $108.00 per chapter, plus an adviser fee of $9.00 per adviser.
How are competitive events determined in the FCCLA?
Competitive Events categories (when used) are based on grade level and not on type of FCCLA membership. If a member of a team, the student will compete at the highest level of the teams’ members.
What kind of work does the FCCLA do?
The work of FCCLA helps students and teachers focus on a variety of youth concerns, including parenting, family relationships, substance abuse, peer pressure, sustainability, nutrition and fitness, teen violence, and career preparation in four specific Career Pathways.
How to register for the FCCLA star events?
Only one submission per entry (team or individual) is required. Email [email protected] with any STAR Event questions. An individual event – recognizes participants who demonstrate their baking and pastry skills through the preparation of a quick bread, choux pastry, cookie, and shaped yeast bread.
How does FCCLA help students get ready for college?
Through participation in Competitive Events, becoming involved in community service opportunities, student leadership, and attending leadership conferences, members develop real world skills, explore Career Pathways, and become college- and career-ready.
